The context
Established business systems carry years of processes and decisions. Modernising them means understanding the relationships in the data and the work people need to get done, as well as the interface they see.
My contribution
My work spans React and TypeScript interfaces, ASP.NET Core APIs, and SQL Server. It includes forms and data tables, API and database integration, reporting, and translating existing business rules into modern application flows.
Connecting the pieces
Business software often needs to reach beyond the browser. My experience includes a Windows desktop bridge for local printing and opening files, using SignalR to connect desktop capabilities with the web application.
From development to deployment
I also work with Docker and Jenkins, including container images and blue/green deployment workflows. This keeps the delivery process part of the engineering work from the start.
What I bring to similar projects
A strong SQL Server background, an understanding of existing business systems, and the ability to work across the application. If you need help modernising a workflow or connecting an interface to a complex data model, I would be happy to hear about it.
